Festival Location
| Art.on.Wires takes place at Kanonhallen in Løren, a part of Oslo which is 4km north of the town center. Kanonhallen used to be an old industry/military building before it got renovated some years ago. In the neighborhood there are some shops and restaurants, but the area is in general a little quiet when compared to the more vibrant city center. Grünerløkka, one of the best places in Oslo to go out during day and night is just 2km away. During Art.on.Wires we will provide free buffets for lunch and dinner and there will be fruits, cookies, soft drinks and coffee/tee for free throughout the day. Beer and other alcoholic drinks are sold by the bistro in Kanonhallen. In case you like to buy small things there is a shop across the street.
There are a plenty of transportation options and some hotels and a Youth Hostel are in walking distance (1-2km). See here for a larger version of the map. |

For all of you who wonder where to stay for cheap in Oslo, here's a list of places you should check out. Most are reasonably close to the city center and prices are affordable (or even for free). It's also possible to rent a cabin for 10+ people somewhere around town. Let me know if you are interested and I check the options.

Transportation
You can get to and from Art.on.Wires by bus or taxi. Public transport in Oslo is quite good and frequent. Only thing is that it operates until ~12pm only. Bus routes to and from the festival location are 21, 23 and 24. Bus schedules are available at Trafikanten. There is also an iPhone app wich displays real-time data.
Taxis are really expensive in Oslo, so please consider walking first. If you can't stand it or if it is raining too much, telefon numbers to call a taxi are 02323 for OsloTaxi and 08000 for NorgesTaxi.
